On October 20, 2005, Weyerhaeuser Company issued a press release stating the
following:

Weyerhaeuser Company Declares Dividend

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - The board of directors of Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE:WY) on
October 20, 2005, declared a dividend of $0.50 per share on the common stock of
the corporation payable December 5, 2005, to shareholders of record at the close
of business November 11, 2005.

Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY), one of the world's largest integrated forest
products companies, was incorporated in 1900. In 2004, sales were $22.7 billion.
It has offices or operations in 19 countries, with customers worldwide.
