Interest on the 8.25% Notes (the “8.25% Notes”) is payable semi-annually in arrears as of February 28 and August 31 based on a 360-day year consisting of twelve 30-day months. The 8.25% Notes mature on February 28, 2027. As shown in the table above, all future interest payment obligations on the 8.25% Notes are included in the carrying value of the 8.25% Notes. As a result, the Company’s reported interest expense will be less than its contractual interest payments throughout the term of the 8.25% Notes. As of September 30, 2020, and December 31, 2019, $6.1 million of interest is recorded as current and classified as Current Debt in the condensed consolidated balance sheet. Additional terms and conditions of the 8.25% Notes are described in Note 9, Debt, of the consolidated financial statements in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2019.
