6. Employee Benefit Plan

We sponsor the Manhattan Associates 401(k) Plan and Trust (the “401(k) Plan”), a qualified profit sharing plan with a 401(k) feature covering substantially all our employees. Under the 401(k) Plan’s deferred compensation arrangement, eligible employees who elect to participate in the 401(k) Plan may contribute up to 60% of eligible compensation up to $19,500, as defined, to the 401(k) Plan. The Internal Revenue Service sets the eligible compensation limit at $290,000 for 2021. Since 2012, we have provided a 50% matching contribution up to 6% of eligible compensation being contributed after the participant’s first year of employment. We temporarily suspended our 401k plan company match effective April 1, 2020 and reinstated the plan effective January 1, 2021. During the years ended December 31, 2021, 2020 and 2019, the Company made matching contributions to the 401(k) Plan of $5.2 million, $1.7 million, and $5.0 million, respectively.
