4. Shareholders’ Equity

During 2021, 2020 and 2019, we purchased 709,200, 337,007, and 1,640,055 shares of the Company’s common stock for $100.0 million, $25.0 million, and $115.9 million, respectively, through open market transactions as part of a publicly-announced share repurchase program. In January 2022, our Board of Directors authorized the Company to repurchase up to an aggregate of $50 million of our common stock.
