Item 5.02 —   Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On July 15, 2011, Tina Cheng-Avery resigned from the office of Vice President of Commercialization of MELA Sciences, Inc. (the “Company”) effective immediately. Ms. Cheng-Avery will continue to be available to assist the Company through December 30, 2011 as a consultant pursuant to a consulting agreement.
