Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On January 11, 2024, BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (“BioMarin” or the “Company”) announced that Mr. Jeffrey Ajer would step down as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, effective July 1, 2024. Mr. Ajer’s compensation will remain unchanged through that date. The separation will constitute a termination of employment by the Company without cause under Mr. Ajer’s Amended and Restated Employment Agreement dated June 10, 2015 (the “Employment Agreement”), and as such, Mr. Ajer will be entitled to receive severance pursuant to the Employment Agreement.
