Subsequent Event On April 6, 2012, the Company received a favorable jury verdict following a trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. vs. Del Monte Foods Company and Del Monte Corporation, awarding the Company damages of $13.2 million. Payment of the award is subject to appeal and therefore, no gain contingency has been recognized.
