Supplement dated August 4, 2017 to the prospectus dated May 1, 2017

This Supplement outlines changes to your American Legacy® individual annuity contract.  All other provisions outlined in your prospectus remain unchanged. This Supplement is for informational purposes only and requires no action on your part.

Investment Requirements for Managed Risk Riders. The following change is effective beginning August 21, 2017. If you elected Lincoln Lifetime IncomeSM Advantage 2.0 (Managed Risk), 4LATER® Advantage (Managed Risk), or i4LIFE® Advantage Guaranteed Income Benefit (Managed Risk) prior to January 20, 2015, investments must be at least 20% of Contract Value or Account Value among the subaccounts listed in Group 1 (previously 30%), and cannot exceed 80% of Contract Value or Account Value among the subaccounts listed in Group 2 (previously 70%). Please see your prospectus for the list of available funds in each Group.

Investment Requirements for other Living Benefit Riders purchased on or after October 3, 2016. The following change is effective beginning August 21, 2017, and applies to Lincoln Market Select® Advantage, 4LATER® Select Advantage, and i4LIFE® Advantage Select Guaranteed Income Benefit elections. To satisfy your Investment Requirements, contracts that purchase one of these Living Benefit Riders on or after October 3, 2016 and prior to January 9, 2017 may allocate 100% of your Contract Value or Account Value among the American Funds Asset Allocation Fund (85%) and the American Funds U.S. Government/AAA-Rated Securities Fund (15%).
Contracts that purchase one of these Living Benefit Riders on or after January 9, 2017 may satisfy these Investment Requirements by allocating 100% of the Contract Value or Account Value in accordance with the American Funds Asset Allocation Fund & American Funds U.S. Government/AAA-Rated Securities Fund asset allocation model made available to you by your broker-dealer. If you terminate the asset allocation model, you must follow the Investment Requirements applicable to your rider. We may exclude an asset allocation model from being available for investment at any time, in our sole discretion. You will be notified prior to the date of such a change.

Appendix – Guaranteed Income Benefit Percentages for Previous Rider Elections. The percentages applicable to i4LIFE® Advantage Select Guaranteed Income Benefit elections and for purchasers of Lincoln Market Select® Advantage between August 29, 2016 and April 14, 2017, and 4LATER® Select Advantage between January 9, 2017 and April 14, 2017 were misstated in your May 1, 2017 prospectus. The correct percentages are reflected in the following table:

Item 28. Indemnification
a) Brief description of indemnification provisions.
In general, Article VII of the By-Laws of Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York provides that Lincoln New York will indemnify certain persons against expenses, judgments and certain other specified costs incurred by any such person if he/she is made a party or is threatened to be made a party to a suit or proceeding because he/she was a director, officer, or employee of Lincoln New York, as long as he/she acted in good faith and in a manner he/she reasonably believed to be in the best interests of, or act opposed to the best interests of, Lincoln New York. Certain additional conditions apply to indemnification in criminal proceedings.
In particular, separate conditions govern indemnification of directors, officers, and employees of Lincoln New York in connection with suits by, or in the right of, Lincoln New York.
Please refer to Article VII of the By-Laws of Lincoln New York (Exhibit no. 6 hereto) for the full text of the indemnification provisions. Indemnification is permitted by, and is subject to the requirements of, New York law.

All accounts, books, and other documents, required to be maintained by Section 31a of the 1940 Act and the Rules promulgated thereunder are maintained by The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company (“Lincoln Life”), 1300 South Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802 pursuant to an administrative services agreement with Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York.
