During the three and nine months ended September 30, 2017, the Company recognized approximately $3.7 million and $10.5 million, respectively, of stock-based compensation expense, which is included in the selling, general and administrative expense line on the Condensed Consolidated Statements of Income, compared to $3.2 million and $9.4 million recorded for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2016, respectively. No stock-based compensation expense was capitalized during the three and nine months ended September 30, 2017 or 2016.
