7. Stockholders’ Equity

On March 8, 2019, pursuant to a shelf registration statement on Form S-3, the Company issued 8,000,000 shares of its common stock at $12.50 per share in an underwritten public offering (referred to as the March 2019 public offering). On March 11, 2019, the underwriters fully exercised their option to purchase additional shares resulting in the issuance of an additional 1,200,000 shares. Net proceeds to the Company from the March 2019 public offering were approximately $107.7 million after deducting underwriting discounts, commissions and other offering expenses.
