U.S. Theatrical Release of “The Go-Getter”

Toronto – June 5, 2008 – Peace Arch® Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX:PAE - News) (TSX:PAE.TO - News), an integrated global entertainment company, today announced the debut of its new feature film “The Go-Getter.”  The latest in a robust slate of films to be distributed by Peace Arch, the comedy will open Friday, June 6 at the Quad Theatre in New York City, Monica 4 in Santa Monica, California, Westpark in Irvine, California and the Living Room Theatre in Portland, Oregon.

The film stars Lou Taylor-Pucci (“Thumbsucker”), Zooey Deschanel (“Almost Famous” and “Bridge To Terabithia”) and Jena Malone (“Contact” and “Into The Wild”).  When a teenager’s mother dies, his road trip in a stolen car to reunite with his long lost brother unexpectedly becomes a hilarious roller-coaster of self-discovery.

“The Go-Getter” world premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and subsequently screened at film festivals in Nantucket, Hamburg and Stockholm.

“The Go-Getter” is written and directed by Martin Hynes (“Stealing Harvard”), and produced by Lori Christopher, Lucy Barzun Donnelly and Larry Furlong.

Shot in the beautiful plains of the Mid-West, with a strong soundtrack by M. Ward and other notables in the indie music scene, “The Go-Getter” is about finding love in the strangest of ways.

The fifth film to be released by Peace Arch in the U.S., “The Go-Getter” follows the recent debut of “The Babysitters,” the March opening of the controversial feature film about the days leading up to the assassination of music icon John Lennon, “Chapter 27,” February’s riveting hostage drama “Towards Darkness” and last summer’s release of Tom DiCillo’s successful and award-winng “Delirious.” The independent distributor has been moving aggressively to expand its North American cinematic presence, having previously released Steve Buscemi’s “Interview” and the action-adventure “In the Name of the King” in Canadian theaters.
