MERCHANDISE INVENTORIES	MERCHANDISE INVENTORIES At January 25, 2025 and July 27, 2024, approximately 64% of merchandise inventories are valued by the LIFO method while the balance is valued by FIFO. If the FIFO method had been used for the entire inventory, inventories would have been $22,133 and $21,789 higher than reported at January 25, 2025 and July 27, 2024, respectively.
