Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. (NYSE:ARE), an S&P 500^® urban office REIT, is the first and longest-tenured owner, operator, and developer uniquely focused on collaborative life science, technology, and agtech campuses in AAA innovation cluster locations. As used in this annual report on Form 10-K, references to the “Company,” “Alexandria,” “ARE,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries. The accompanying consolidated financial statements include the accounts of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries. All significant intercompany balances and transactions have been eliminated. Certain prior-period amounts have been reclassified to conform to the current-period presentation. Refer to the “Lease Accounting” section in Note 2 – “Summary of Significant Accounting Policies” to our consolidated financial statements.
