Basic net (loss) income per share is computed by dividing the net (loss) income for the period by the weighted average number of common shares outstanding during the period. Diluted net (loss) income per share is computed by dividing the net (loss) income for the period by the weighted average number of common and common equivalent shares outstanding during the period.  Restricted stock (consisting of restricted stock awards, or RSAs, and restricted stock units, or RSUs) and stock options to acquire approximately 0.2 million and zero shares for the three months ended June 30, 2013 and 2012, respectively, and 0.2 million and zero shares for the six months ended June 30, 2013 and 2012, respectively, were excluded from the computations of diluted EPS because the effect of including those RSAs, RSUs, and stock options would have been anti-dilutive.
