Item 8.01 Other Events

On October 8, 2015 Bassett Furniture Industries issued a news release relating to the declaration of a regular quarterly dividend of $.09 per share of outstanding common stock payable on November 27, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business November 13, 2015. A copy of the news release is attached to the report as Exhibit 99.

The reason for this amended 8-K is the result of changing the title of the original press release from “Bassett Increases Quarterly Dividend” to “Bassett Declares” quarterly dividend.
