Inventories consisted of the following:

We receive credits from certain vehicle manufacturers that reduce cost of sales when the vehicles are sold. Such credits amounted to $12.8 million and $13.6 million during the three months ended June 30, 2019 and 2018, respectively, and $24.9 million and $25.6 million during the six months ended June 30, 2019 and 2018, respectively.
