Stock Options Stock-based compensation for an award of equity instruments, including stock options, is recognized as an expense over the vesting period based on the fair value of the award at the grant date. As of June 30, 2013, there were outstanding employee stock options to acquire 414 common shares, which had vested in prior years. During the six month period ended June 30, 2013, the Company did not grant any stock options.
