ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS.

On June 20, 2006, River Valley Bancorp issued a press release announcing that the Board of Directors had declared a cash dividend of $0.195 per common share for the quarter ending June 30, 2006. The dividend is payable to shareholders of record on June 30, 2006. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
