10. Business Segments

The Company operates in one segment, ophthalmology. The Company develops, manufactures and markets medical devices. Our revenues arise from the sale of consoles, delivery devices, consumables, service, and support activities.

(1) Incudes service contract revenues of $308 and $304 recognized during the three months ended March 30, 2019 and March 31, 2018, respectively. Other also includes revenues from paid service, royalty, freight and legacy G probes.

Revenues are attributed to countries based on location of end customers.

Other than the United States, no individual country accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues during the three months ended March 30, 2019 and March 31, 2018.  The United States accounted for 49.1% and 51.1% of revenues for the three months ended March 30, 2019 and March 31, 2018, respectively.   International sales accounted for 50.9% and 48.9% of revenues for the three months ended March 30, 2019 and March 31, 2018, respectively.
