9. Business Segments

The Company operates in one segment, ophthalmology. The Company develops, manufactures and markets medical devices. Our revenues arise from the sale of consoles, delivery devices, consumables, service, and support activities.

Revenue information shown by geographic region, based on the sales destination, is as follows:

Revenues are attributed to countries based on location of end customers.

No individual country accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues, other than the United States. United States accounted for 51.1% and 54.4% of revenues for the three month periods ended March 31, 2018 and April 1, 2017, respectively. International sales, other than the United States, accounted for 48.9% and 45.6% of revenues for the three month periods ended March 31, 2018 and April 1, 2017, respectively.

No customer accounted for more than 10% of total revenues for the three month periods ended March 31, 2018 or April 1, 2017.
