17. Business Segments and Geographical Information

We operate in one segment, ophthalmology. Substantially all of our long-term assets are located in the U.S. We develop, manufacture and market medical devices. Our revenues arise from the sale of consoles, delivery devices, consumables, service and support activities.

Revenues are attributed to countries based on location of end customers.

 

Other than the United States, The Netherlands accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues during fiscal year 2022, representing 11.8%. The United States accounted for 51.2% of revenues in 2022. Other than the United States, Japan accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues during fiscal year 2021, representing 13.5%. The United States accounted for 46.3% of revenues in 2021.
