Description of Business
1.    Description of Business

The accompanying unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements have been prepared in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles ("U.S. GAAP") for interim financial information. In the opinion of management, all adjustments (consisting of normal recurring accruals) considered necessary for a fair presentation of the financial position of Columbus McKinnon Corporation ("the Company") at September 30, 2021, the results of its operations for the six months ended September 30, 2021 and September 30, 2020, and cash flows for the six months ended September 30, 2021 and September 30, 2020, have been included. Results for the period ended September 30, 2021 are not necessarily indicative of the results that may be expected for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022. The balance sheet at March 31, 2021 has been derived from the audited consolidated financial statements at that date but does not include all of the information and footnotes required by U.S. GAAP for complete financial statements. For further information, refer to the consolidated financial statements and footnotes thereto included in the Columbus McKinnon Corporation Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2021 (the “2021 10-K”).
