21 Meridian Corporation Reconciliation of Non-GAAP Financial Measures Tangible common equity to tangible assets Management uses the measure tangible common equity to tangible assets to assess our capital strength. We believe that this non-GAAP financial measure is useful to investors because, by removing the impact of our preferred stock, goodwill and other intangible assets, it allows investors to more easily assess our capital adequacy. This non-GAAP financial measure should not be considered a substitute for any regulatory capital ratios and may not be comparable to other similarly titled measures used by other companies.
