Please reinstate the uptick rule as soon as possible. The market will continue to decline due to lack of confidence. With lack of confidence and no buyers abroad, short selling will continue to dominant and continue destruction of the American economy and market indices. This will be a never ending vicious circle.
If not the uptick rule, please eliminate naked short selling.
Why is this not being done yet? I don't understand.
Our retirement money is dwindling away on a daily basis and there is nothing we can do about it. I also don't think it's fair that people who take their IRA's out are penalized 10%. Why shouldn't they take their money out to protect it during this 55% decline in the stock market? It is forcing people to keep their hard earned money in a market that continues to decline almost daily.
