I bought my home with 20% down, cars with money down, did not skip out on student loans and long in market meaning do not trade or gamble with money.
My view of naked shorting is nothing more than fraud. Shorting not much better. Hey Debit cards tied to 401K needs stopping also. My view of GOVT bailing out Fannie/Freddie and others including Bear Sterns is wrong. Dishonest people need to go to jail. This naked shorting / shorting has in my view destroyed pension plans / devalued my savings. I will not vote for my senators/congressmen in election if they voted for Freddie/Sallie bail out.
I have never asked my country to do for me and have done for it as a proud American. I have driven cars not costly and small engines to get good gas mileage,no drugs,do charity work and my water use with 4 people in home is 3000 gallons a month in trying to help out with Ga drought.
To give relief to people who should have known better or knowingly dishonest is just morally WRONG. IT also encourages people not to want to save as why save when GOVT will give it away and making saving not worth much.
