Preview the new XBRL rendering engine

A test version of EDGAR® Renderer 3.0.612 is now available. The current version of EDGAR® Renderer 2.4.1.9 will continue in production on www.sec.gov until further notice. The rendering engine enables investors to view the interactive data files submitted to the SEC, and EDGAR® Renderer 3 produces backward-compatible rendered output and benefits end users by executing faster than the current rendering engine. Users can use a test previewer at https://datapreview.sec.gov/previewer3 to view output and diagnostic messages that will be produced as a result of the new rendering engine.

EDGAR® Renderer 3 is also built on open source software widely used for XBRL processing, making it easier to extend for incorporation into filing tools. The source code for EDGAR® Renderer 3 is available for download at http://www.arelle.org/applications.
