Dear Secretary Katz:
     This letter is to support the Securities and Exchange Commission's efforts 
to make mutual funds disclose their votes on key issues during annual shareholder 
meetings of those companies in which they are invested. 

     I believe your proposal to be both good and overdue but it could be greatly 
enhanced by requiring the fund manager to inform fund investors of their intended 
vote sufficiently ahead of the shareholders meeting to allow feedback. 

     We who rely on our mutual fund investments to fund our needs during our 
final years applaud your efforts in this regard.
