Date: 03/21/2000 1:33 PM Subject: NO more selective disclosure! Dear SEC, Thank you for your consideration of this particular matter that, as it stands, has far-reaching and, ultimately, beneficial ramifications for all investors. I completely support selective disclosure. It is not only unfair that large institutions have "insider information" about earnings and company results, it also places individual investors at a significant disadvantage. While I understand Mr. Kaswell's "concern" about the possiblity that corporations may no longer disclose as much information, and, therefore, this plan would be detrimental to ALL over the long run, I respectfully submit that his concern for my well-being is unwelcome. I'd rather formulate opinions and make decisions based upon as much information as everyone else has rather than subject myself to the whims of financial institutions. In the current model, large institutions are a filter lodged in the conduit of information. Sincerely, Matthew Thomas, MD
