Subject: On Proposed Regulation FD

Hello -
     
        I would like to indicate my support for the SEC's new proposed
Regulation FD, which requires publicly traded companies to disclose 
important information to the public, and not merely selected anaylsts and 
investors. As a user of a discount brokerage, my ability to make 
appropriate investment decisions, as well of that of millions of others, 
is limited by selective disclosure; the only beneficiaries of this state 
of affairs are the major financial firms. Requiring public disclosure 
creates a level playing field for individual investors like myself.
     
        In short: right on, SEC.
