Dear Mr. Arthur Levitt
     
I am a retired Xerox executive and a shareholder of 5 companies on the NYSE 
and NASDAQ.  
     
I am opposed to proposed rule S7-25-97 which would prevent many motions and 
information on important issues being brought to stockholders' attention. 
This includes issues of fair employment practices, such as sex and race 
discrimination and harassment.
