Date: 1/5/98 12:41 PM Subject: s7-25-97 Author: Susan Rogers at Internet TO: Arthur Levitt, Securities and Exchange Commission I am expressing my opposition to rule S7-25-97. I oppose any restrictions that would prevent stockholder initiatives from being deliberated and voted upon at open stockholder meetings. I am especially concerned with any stockholder motions that affect women including employment practices (e.g., race and sex discrimination and harassment), gender balancing boards, and use of child labor. No rules should restrict employees, investors, and customers' feedback to corporations when they have not acted responsibly on their own.
