I urge the SEC not to bow to the pressure of multinationals in its rule ch 
anges this year.  The proposal that would allow corporations to dismiss so 
cial justice issues as "ordinary business" is simply another attempt to pr 
event citizens and stockholders from demanding responsible labor po
licies from companies.  Corporations involved in dispicable sweatshop la 
bor practices, such as Nike and Disney, would be free to continue and ex 
tend their practices of sacrificing workers' rights for profit.  I call fo 
r the SEC to uphold this safefguard, and prevent a disastrous and un
just change of policy.
