Letter Type J:

Dear Mr. Katz,

I support the SEC proposal S7-19-03. It will help curb corporate corruption and end the self-perpetuating system that permits corporate boards to handpick their own directors.

This plan is a good start, but the proposed rules make it too difficult for shareholders to participate and impossible to do so in a timely manner. A shareholder would have to own shares in a corporation worth roughly $900 million to nominate a candidate and the nomination process would take two years to complete.

We need meaningful reform now to protect the retirement savings of millions of working families!
