I have been a licensed insurance professional and mutual fund rep for more than 22 years. I agree that some of the dirty trick of mutual fund companies need to be changed. I oppose the elimination of 12b-1 fees because I think we provide a valuable service to our clients with ongoing advice on their investments. Do attorneys stop getting their fees for future advice? CPA's also get fees for ongoing advice to clients. I think our work is just as important. I think the proposal will do more harm than good. I take my job very seriously and so do most of my associates. I am glad that you cracked down on the after hours trading practice. Thanks for letting me vent on this subjest a little.
