Subject: S7-6-00 Author: Howard Kaikow Date: 03/09/2000 4:25 PM I saw a reference to S7-6-00 at www.mornigstar.com. I have not seen S7-6-00, so I cannot make detailed comments, however, I do have a few general comments: 1. The DEFAULT must be to NOT allow ANY information to be disclosed. Requiring the customer to REQUEST that no information be disclosed is the wrong default. The DEFAULT must protect the customer, i.e., why in the world should anyone need to take any action to prevent info from being distributed? The DEFAULT must protect the customer. 2. The customer must have access to the compliance officer at a mutual fund company. One company has thus far refused me to have such access. I have not yet decided on the next course of action.
