Enron and the Division of Investment Management together have requested an extension of the briefing schedule contained in the Commission's January 14, 2004, Notice and Order Scheduling Hearing Regarding Request for Order Exempting Holding Companies from Registration Under the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935. Extensions of time are disfavored. It appears appropriate, however, to grant a brief extension under the circumstances.

Accordingly, it is ORDERED that the time for filing briefs in this matter be, and it hereby is, extended until February 9, 2004.
