   As a small individual investor, I am tired of having my
investments trompled and devalued almost beyond belief by
major traders and institutions, who obviously act in tandem 
for massive shortselling.  I have been forced out of many
otherwise good long-term holdings because of this relentless
and ruthless shortselling, and have suffered irreversible 
losses. Shortselling is merely the beating unto death of
stocks that are already wounded from some real economic
conditions.  Unfortunately, it is not only the stocks that
get beat up, it is also us small investors.  Although it is
not likely that shortselling will ever be erradicated, I am
requesting that, in the interests of small, earnest, indivi-
dual investors, short sales and short covers be required to
be identified as such on all trading screens.  This could
easily be done through colors - as sells are usually in red,
so short sells culd show as orange.  As buys are usually in
green, short covers could show in blue.  Knowing the WHY
of drastic moves in stock prices would certainly benefit 
those of us who are just trying to be realistically success-
ful long term investors.  We just want to survive and not
be pushed into selling at losses, thereby increasing the
short sellers profit  Thank you for consideration of this
very prevalent problem
