The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) assists the Commission in making the work of the SEC open to the public, understandable to investors and accountable to taxpayers. The Office helps every other SEC division and office accomplish the agency's mission – to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation. OPA's principal activity is to communicate the agency's work and deliver the agency's information resources to the public, market participants and other stakeholders. In addition to managing editorial and visual content on SEC.gov, the office administers Commission communications programs and coordinates relations between the news media and Commission staff.
If you are a member of the news media, contact the Office of the Public Affairs at email@example.com or (202) 551-4120.
