The Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) was established at the SEC in July of 2011. As required by Section 342
of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, OMWI is responsible for all matters related to diversity in management, employment and business activities at the SEC. With the requirements of Section 342 as the foundation of its efforts, OMWI is committed to ensuring that diversity and inclusion are leveraged throughout the agency to advance the SEC's mission to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.
