UNITED STATES SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION Litigation Release No. 15877 / September 10, 1998 Securities and Exchange Commission Obtains Order Setting Civil Penalties Against Sunbelt Development Corporation And Three Minister Defendants. The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that Judge F.A. Little of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana entered an Order Setting Penalties against defendant Sunbelt Development Corporation ("Sunbelt") in the amount of $500,000 and against defendants Wendell Rogers ("Rogers"), Donald Hammond ("Hammond") and Willie Davis ("Davis") in the amount of $100,000 each arising from violations of Sections 5 and 17(a) of the Securities Act of 1933 and Sections 15(a) and 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 thereunder. All of the defendants were permanently enjoined from further violations of the securities laws in prior orders of the court, and were previously ordered to pay disgorgement in varying amounts.
