EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification (Version 1.2)

The EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification (Version 1.2) document describes the valid structure and content of the Reg A Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) Extensible Markup Language (XML) submission types. The EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification (Version 1.2) provides, to those filers that are interested, a basis for creating Reg A XML submissions. The expectation is that software developers, working on behalf of filers, will be able to construct software that will generate a Reg A XML submission that can be successfully processed by the EDGAR system.

The following change to the EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification has been implemented:

• The specification was updated to reflect the correct applicability of the schema elements "fileNumber" and "successorFileNumber" to the submission form types "1-K", "1-K/A", "1-Z", "1-Z/A"; and schema elements "dosFileNumber" and "offeringFileNumber" to the submission form types "1-A", "1-A/A" and "1-A POS". This is only a documentation change and required no change to the schema files or the application.
