14400 BPS Transmission Support Available June 16

As currently planned, filers who are using the new EDGARLink^® release will be able to transmit documents successfully to the EDGAR^® system at 14400 speed beginning June 16, 1997. Filers who use other communications packages and transmit using X-MODEM or Kermit can use the higher modem speeds at that time also.

Filers who have a 14400 or faster modem attached to their EDGAR computer are encouraged to download EDGARLink 5.20 before June 16, in order to avoid problems connecting with the EDGAR system. Filers with faster modems (14400 or faster) who use EDGARLink 5.10.c or below may experience transmission difficulties if they have not upgraded to version 5.20.a prior to June 16.
