EDGAR Dissemination Update

The EDGAR PDS Technical Specification Document describes the format for various files disseminated to the subscribers. It also provides the definitions for each element in the file.

The EDGAR PDS Technical Specification document was last updated to incorporate changes to the EDGAR system associated with Release 9.10, deployed on May 5, 2008. As part of Release 9.10, EDGAR removec EDGAR submission types N-14AE and N-14AE/A from EDGARLink. All open-end funds registering shares on Form N-14 must use EDGAR submission types N-14 and N-14/A, whether or not they are effective automatically under Rule 488.

In addition, the amendments, S-4EF/A and F-4EF/A were removed from EDGAR. Filers will use S-4POS to file a post-effective amendment to an S-4EF and the F-4 POS will be filed as a post-effective amendment to an F-4EF registration.

• The EDGAR PDS New Subscriber Document (updated 10/16/09) provides configuration, testing, maintenance, and billing information to potential and existing subscribers of the EDGAR public dissemination service feed.
