As a long-time investor advocate, I write to support FINRA's proposal regarding expungement. Currently, arbitrators are granting expungement without hearings and without any real consideration of the public interest in the integrity of the CRD system. While NASAA's comment letter makes many valid points which should eventually be adopted, for the short term, the investing public would be well served by adopting the proposed rule.
