We are writing as co-facilitators of the Drafting Committee of the OECD-hosted working group on gold, constituted to develop the Supplement on Gold for the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the draft final Supplement on Gold which is currently open for public consultation. The draft final Supplement on Gold is the result of two large multi-stakeholder consultations with the OECD-hosted working group on gold (held on 4 May 2011 and 18 November 2011 respectively), and 6 months of in-depth collaboration amongst the Gold Supplement's multi-stakeholder Drafting Committee.
The Drafting Committee have integrated the comments received during the last meeting of the working group on gold on 18 Nov into this draft final version. The Drafting Committee are now considering final comments from the working group and the public until 13 January, and will re-submit the final Supplement on Gold to the working group on gold for their final endorsement on 23 January 2011.
