Why did we lift this 70+year safety mechanism and why have we not reinstated it. I feel that this simple rule could have prevented the some of the mass destruction that shareholders of America’s greatest companies have endured. My personal feeling is that if you want to invest in this great nation we should allow that concept with open arms, but to profit from market destruction is not only unhealthy for the economy but un-patriotic.
