Many of us are appalled that Hedge Funds, Wall Street Investment companies, Off-shore and other traders are allowed to sell short the stock of obviously distresses companies without an "uptick rule".
As far I can tell many key industrial countries still have a ban on this destructive practice through the end of the year.
To elimination of the uptick due to pressure from lobbyists representing "computer trading" companies makes no sense during a global crisis and only serves the unabated greed of those that prey on obviously vulnerable companies.
