Thank you for taking the time to read my comments.

I believe that to raise the minimum net worth requirement for investing in private funds is to move in the wrong direction. I am a 25 year old CFA candidate. It will probably be a long time before I have a net worth of more than $2.5M, or $1M for that matter, yet I consider myself currently capable of evaluating the risks involved in investing in hedge funds and other private funds. Limiting investment in this type of fund to only those who are rich is unfair. I doubt that net worth is highly cooreltated with investment sophisication in a statistically significant manner. Please consider rethinking changes to the current laws governing private funds. They should be more widely available to investors, not less so.
