I am a well educated, financially savvy investor, who knows where to invest my money. Taking on some extra risk by investing in leveraged funds is one of the great investment vehicle available to me for that purpose.

It would be really sad if SEC voted to let people not invest in such funds.

People like me will have to look for other alternative investment vehicles that have similar risk profile (but may not be as liquidity traded as leveraged ETFs).

So, I dont c how SEC will be successful in letting people play a less risky profile.

At the very max, people should be warned every time they venture into leveraged funds, with as much historical details made available immediately, as possible. And then let them decide whats best for them.

Please do not unnecessarily create more complexities to investment options.
