I am writing concerning the proposed new regulations concerning leveraged and inverse ETF's. I am a long time investor in these funds and have always been fully aware of the leveraged advantages and risks. Using appropriate stop loss techniques, I have always used them in a responsible way for enhanced returns and and as portfolio protection.
I am adamantly opposed to any regulation that would presume to evaluate my capacity to act in a responsible manner. I feel that any regulation that would prevent me trading these ETF's as part of my overall investment strategy would be an over-reach of government imposed limitations on my choice as an investor.
